A Bentley fit for Charlie Croker and co...

Mulsanne special edition marks 95th anniversary

Bentley’s Britishness is the theme of a new special edition that will have a production run of just 15, each assembled by Bentley’s Mulliner division in Crewe. All Mulsanne 95s will be sold in the UK and each will be finished in of three bespoke exterior colours – Empire Red, Oxford White or Brittania Blue.

The interior also has a strong British theme. The wood comes from a walnut tree that grew in the grounds of Fulbeck Hall in Lincolnshire. Believed to be 300 to 400 years old, the tree fell during a heavy storm in 2007. The rare ripple effect of its pattern sweeps through the Mulsanne 95’s cabin.

The red, white and blue colour options put us in mind of another British icon, and one that was renowned for gold more than wood… perhaps an upmarket remake of The Italian Job is on the cards.
