Excitement builds at Silverstone Auctions... what would you bid on?

Silverstone Auctions

A Harrier GR3 jump jet makes quite a statement as you walk into the Silverstone Auctions room. By comparison, some of the automotive lots which are also parked outside pale. Not that we could really walk past what appears to be an immaculate manual BMW M635i without stopping to look.

Inside the auction room, champagne is flowing (that should help bids!), cars are being closely inspected and plenty of people are registering to bid in this two-part auction. Lots which will go into the sale this afternoon include a Lynx Eventer, 1931 Chrysler CD Type 120 and a delightful 1950 Healey Silverstone. Cars that we’ll look out for tomorrow include a 1940 Alvis 12/70 Competition, a 1996 Jaguar XJ220 and a 190 Alvis TD21 Drophead Coupe.

We’ll being you highlights from both auctions today and tomorrow…
