Maserati Quattroporte goes fashionista on us with Zenga edition

Maserati Quattroporte

The number 100 is very much the theme of all things Maserati in this, its centenary year. That’s how many of its new Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna special editions will be built; and it’s also the number of pictures that will be taken by Italian photographer during the car’s tour of four international events put on by Maserati.

The photos will go into a book called One of 100, but it won’t be all automotive photography. At the events, Maserati will invite various VIPS – chefs, athletes, musicians, artists – who will have their hands photographed, emphasising the hand-finished nature of the special edition. There will be some photos of the car, too.

Of course, the car! Let’s not forget that.

It has been developed in collaboration with Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, but details of what exactly differentiates it from a regular Maserati Quattroporte are not yet released. According to the official release, both Zenga and Maserati are ‘masters in Italian excellence,’ which builds a little hype at least. Its first outing will be at the event in Shanghai this month.
