Firing on... Two! Morgan Three Wheeler

How low can you go? We’ve had a Firing On… Two before, but that’s when we had a rotary powered Mazda RX-7 and were forced to count rotors instead of cylinders. This is the first time we’ve had a traditional twin, and it comes courtesy of  the off-beat burble of a Morgan Three Wheeler and its S&S V-twin engine.

This one has been owned by Phil Gardner since he bought it new three years ago as a 50th birthday present to himself. He uses it for fun and for track days, which is why we were able to catch up with him between sessions on the circuit.

The colour of this car is officially Spitfire Green, which makes the decal set all the more appropriate. So there was nothing else for it but to film the car in front of the Aero Club Cafe with the statue of celebrated WW2 pilot Sir Douglas Bader looking on…
