Revival accommodation sorted out yet?

At the August 30th Historics at Brooklands auction there are many lots which would do the job of transporting you to the Goodwood Revival. There’s a pretty 1951 MG TD, a ’59 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, a ’62 Triumph TR3a and other such sporty fodder.

However, if you want to ‘do’ the Revival in style and fancy a luxurious place to stay, then this 1950 Bedford OB  is exactly what you need. You get all the period charm of a Fifties bus, but with modern running gear and a full-on luxury interior. And when we say ‘full-on’ we’re not joking.

Included in the spec is an Apple Mac with a 27-inch screen, a Bose sound system, solar panels, leisure batteries with conditioners, LPG, fresh water, waste, and black tanks, electric lavatory, air suspension and full central heating. And with your day’s historic motorsport at a close you’d be able to relax with a refreshing beverage under the stars thanks to a large retractable roof. All that’s missing is a first class dining room and butler’s quarters.

The news gets even better when you learn that the fitment of a modern 3.0 Iveco HDi motor and running gear means that the Bedford can transport you at 70mph all day long. Apparently it can hit 90mph if you’re in a bit more of a hurry!

We’re not entirely sure about the colour scheme, but apart from that we love it.
