Jaguar Land Rover is to launch three new cars at Pebble Beach; one is a true world debut, one a US debut of a car launched at FoS and the other the official reveal of a car that was teased here at Goodwood. No matter what coverage they’ve had before, they will all pique the interest of car enthusiasts in one of JLR’s most important markets.
The big news is the world’s first sight of the Lightweight E-type prototype. The six continuation models are eagerly anticipated, the very limited production run being handled by JLR’s new Special Operations division.
It’s the same department that’s behind the other two Pebble Beach debutants. The Range Rover Sport SVR will have its official global launch (although FoS-goers did get a sneak preview of the disguised prototype), while the Project 7 will make it US debut following its official unveiling here at Goodwood.
All three will be first shown at the Concours d’Elegance Kick-Off Party next Thursday, and we’ve RSVP’d to our invite already – we want to see that E-type! All three cars will then make further appearances at different events in the following days.
