I've now had my hands back on our Renault Kadjar for a few weeks, after it spent a little time under the stewardship of our editor Will Kinsman, and I can't say I'm any less impressed with it, even after settling in.

Kadjar Diaries – Settling In

The big Renault hasn't just plugged around West Sussex either, completing a couple of trips into London and enjoying its first Goodwood event; showing its ability both to lug several members of GRR staff (myself, Ethan and our photographer Pete Summers) to and from the event every day, and to take on the grass car parks that are opened for an event.
So the perfect test for the interior of the Kadjar: can it withstand lugging camera equipment too and from the Motor Circuit every day as well as three, rather tired, people? Yes, without a problem.
I feel the need to reflect upon the interior of Renault's biggest crossover in glowing terms. The leather seats are comfortable, climate control not overbearing and the infotainment system works beautifully, despite leaving our alleged car Anorak Gary Axon perplexed at times when he took it to Retromobile.

It's definitely the interior you'd expect of a more expensive car than a mid-level crossover. The plastics are high-quality and we're still finding more cubbyholes to fill with stuff every day - perhaps the panoramic roof could retract faster, but that would be nit-picking.
Next up for the Kadjar is a couple of heavy duty trips up the country, where we'll be testing the 'Eco' mode to the max (or should that be min?). Which reminds me, it's a little muddy after Members' Meeting, better get it washed...
Average fuel consumption this week: 44.9mpg
