The Indian car industry is still finding its feet on the international stage, you can't say that the likes of Tata or Maruti Suzuki are household names outside of their home nation, although the former is a well-known name around the world as the owner of Jaguar Land Rover.

Video: Why has this Wolseley taken India by storm?
However what is booming is the fledgeling classic car scene on the subcontinent, with Concours events popping up across the nation and throwing up some quite extraordinary classic machinery. Which is the subject of the video above.
The boss, Lord March himself, recently sent this dispatch back from India, where he was visiting the Cartier: Travel With Style event in Hydrabad. While there he came across this fantastic Wolseley from 1914, which has spent its whole life in India before being restored in the country. The beautiful details caught the eye of both the founder of the Festival of Speed and the judges as the stunning snake-decorated car went on to win best in class at the event, and it seems the heart of Lord March.
