Maserati MC20 gets the Mansory treatment

Of course so long has Mansory been casting its wicked spells on the cars we love in the service of the tasteless that we more or less know the drill. It’s an MC20 absolutely draped in carbon fibre frippery that is, by an educated estimation, without aerodynamic or weight-saving purpose. Winglets, strakes, fake vents abound, though the engine snorkel if not for its matte carbon presentation, isn’t the worst thing in the world. The giant three-legged rear wing smacks a little bit of Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. 

The car can also come with revised turbo downpipes – with or without cat – and indeed a louder exhaust system, with a remote control. No word as yet on what performance increases this yields for the MC20, which comes with 630PS (463kW) as standard.

It sits well, lowered on the new wheels, which aren’t horrid and weirdly remind us of the original 997 Porsche 911 GT3. The inside no doubt features tacky carbon and gratuitous quilted stitching.

There’s no word on price for a Mansory-fettled MC20, though given taste usually falls by the wayside when big sums of money are concerned, you can expect a mid to high five to low six-figure sum. That said, these things are normally the preserve of people who like to weigh their money, rather than count it, so they should be all good.
