Bentley Motors has pulled the covers off its latest machine. It’s a tricycle and if you're concerned the luxury brand is going head-to-head with the back-to-basics (and rather joyful) Morgan 3 Wheeler, you needn't; Bentley's trike is for children only.

This is stretching the idea of a gateway model to its limits and then a bit further. The Mulliner Tricycle has a seat that emulates the chairs in a Bentley car, complete with diamond-cut quilting and an embroidered Bentley badge.
Pneumatic tyres might be standard fitment in a Bentley car, but they're relative luxury in kids' trikes, and the Muillner machine goes a step further by adding weighted 'B' centre caps that stay upright as the wheels spin. A chrome emblem and a White Sand paint complete the high-end finish.
The Bentley Trike's seat has a five-point harness, can point forwards or backwards, and reclines, meaning it can carry kids from six months to five years old.

The non-slip pedals give kids somewhere to rest their feet while you push them along using the trike's detachable handle that, naturally, is bound in quilted leather. Other practical features include a retractable hood and a storage basket for drinks, toys and not champagne flutes or bubbley.
At £595, the Bentley trike isn't cheap (we'd set the average at around £100), but it is, by some margin, your most affordable route to Bentley ownership. Now, how about one on test Bentley?
