What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than to send some wrecked cars to their maker in the most spectacular way possible – off the side of a cliff? Which is exactly what in one small Alaskan town.
Video: Chucking old cars off a cliff is stupid and we’re here for it
It seems like absolute wanton destruction, but these kinds of cars in the UK would live their final moments in banger racing. Surely it’s much better for these machines that served their purposes day after day to end their lives with a final joyous blowout, than sitting in a junkyard awaiting the crusher?
The obvious favourite moment in this video of pure joyful destruction is when a limo appears video, ready to crash to its doom over Glacier View’s cliff edge. It’s previewed at the start, but you should definitely continue watching until it features toward the end.
Is it the mindless destruction of vehicles? Probably. Is it something we can absolutely get on board with? Yes.
