Hillclimb Roadtest: Jag F‑Type R vs. Porsche 911 Turbo S

On a superficial level, things look set for a pretty fair fight. A pair of svelte, highly desirable premium sports coupes, each boasting roughly 550 horsepower, and each costing the thick end of a terraced street in Rotherham.

You needn’t scratch too far beneath the surface to find significant differences, of course. One has its engine where the golf clubs are supposed to go, four-wheel-drive and twin turbos. The other is a rear-wheel-driver, with a blown V8 and two fewer seats.

So how to sort this one out then?

Back-to-back on the Goodwood Hillclimb of course, with our very own ‘King of the Hill’ Anthony Reid on driving duties!

We’ll say no more, and let the video do the talking…
