The Fellowship is a new way into the Club, and is open to anyone to join immediately from 26th June, whether you’re waiting to one day become a Member, or plan on remaining a Fellow indefinitely. There are a carefully selected range of Fellowship benefits which appeal to younger enthusiasts, Goodwood’s growing global motorsport audience and those who are waiting to become Members. This is great news, as it makes the GRRC more accessible and relevant to a wider audience, including young people, which will ultimately benefit everyone and ensures that the Club thrives long into the future.
Why was the Fellowship introduced?
Lord March set up the GRRC twenty years ago for those who want to be at the heart of Goodwood’s world leading motorsport events. Since then, demand to be part of the GRRC has become so strong that the waiting list to become a Member is now much bigger than the Club itself, and the waiting time is currently around 5 years - and growing all the time. Additionally, we have recognised that Membership is not always affordable for younger people, and can be difficult to get the most value from if you’re not able to travel to Goodwood and enjoy the events regularly.
Obviously all of this isn’t a good experience for potential future Members, and it also puts pressure on us being able to retain the existing size, exclusivity and appropriate range of benefits within the GRRC Membership – all of which we’re hugely passionate about preserving. We are constantly being asked what we can do about this, and in response we have decided to create this new way to become part of the GRRC community.
What are the benefits of becoming a GRRC Fellow?
Fellowship allows you to become a ‘Member-in-Waiting’ for full GRRC Membership when a space becomes available. You will receive an annual pack including a GRRC Fellowship pin badge and windscreen sticker, have guaranteed access to the Members’ Meeting with early-bird prices as well as the ability to buy your tickets to the sell-out Festival of Speed and Revival ahead of the public. You will also have access to exclusive online coverage from all three headline events including new live streams and special edits solely for you, the ability to view all of our Road & Racing features before anyone else, discounts on selected Goodwood merchandise, and month by month we will be uploading the Goodwood motorsport archive to the Goodwood Road & Racing website just for you, so can re-live the memories of all of our previous events.
How can I purchase a Fellowship and how much does it cost?

It is priced at £39 per year on a rolling 12 month basis; you are able to pay by debit or credit card or with a Goodwood gift card. Your Fellowship is an ongoing GRRC subscription and by purchasing it you authorise the GRRC to debit the annual Fellowship price from your account every 12 months, until you cancel your subscription.
Absolutely! No matter where you live in the world or what age you are, we would love to welcome you as a Fellow of the GRRC. The Fellowship will include those waiting to become a full Member, as well as those who plan to enjoy the benefits of being a Fellow indefinitely.
Can I set up a direct debit?
There’s no need. Your Fellowship is an ongoing GRRC subscription, and by purchasing it you authorise the GRRC to debit the annual Fellowship price from your account every 12 months, until you cancel your subscription.
Can I cancel my Fellowship anytime?
You have 48 hours from the time of purchase to cancel your Fellowship and receive a full refund assuming you haven’t used any of your digital benefits.
When can I start using my benefits?
Straight away! All online videos, live streaming and discounts will be available to you once you’ve purchased your Fellowship. Your Fellowship pack, including your pin badge and windscreen sticker, will be despatched within a couple of weeks.
Is a Fellow the same as a Member?
No. The Fellowship has been introduced to provide benefits for those waiting to become a Member, as well as offering relevant benefits to the wider motorsport community that may not be able to travel to Goodwood and enjoy the Membership benefits regularly. As such, Fellows will enjoy a selected range of benefits, but there are some (such as paddock access at Goodwood Revival) that are solely for Members.
I already had a place on the GRRC waiting list before Fellowship was announced on 1 June, will I keep my position in line and how long will I be waiting for?
You must become a Fellow first. Once you’ve purchased your Fellowship you will be sent a reminder to activate your free-of-charge ‘Member-in-Waiting’ status. As long as you do this before 1 October 2017 you will keep your place in line for Membership, and will be invited (in order) as soon as a place becomes available. As always, spaces in the GRRC Membership are limited and we cannot say how long you will have to wait, but we hope you will appreciate these newbenefits in the meantime.
What happens when I’m invited to become a Member?
When a space becomes available and you’re invited to the Membership, the money you have paid for your time as a Fellow will be deducted from the Joining Fee accordingly. If you wish, you can decide to decline the invitation for Membership and remain as a Fellow, but you will lose your place within the ‘Member-in-Waiting’ line.
I'm a current Member but would prefer to be a Fellow. Can I do that?
Of course, but not straight away. When your Membership comes up for renewal, you simply need to let the Club know you would like to relinquish your Membership and purchase Fellowship instead. Please note that if any at time you would like to become a full Member again, you will first need to activate your Member-in-Waiting status and then wait for a place to become available.
I live abroad and don't come to Goodwood much. Is there any point in becoming a Fellow?
Yes! There are fantastic benefits of Fellowship, a lot of which you don’t have to come to Goodwood for. Exclusive live streams and on-boards cameras at the events, weekly exclusive videos on Goodwood Road and Racing as well as access to Goodwood Road and Racing videos before the public, the Fellowship pin badge and windscreen sticker and all the fantastic discounts and competitions mean you will get your moneys’ worth.
Where do I access all the new live event coverage and on-demand videos?
Goodwood Road and Racing will be your new home. Once you are logged in you will have access to all your exclusive videos and live streams.
How many devices am I able to watch exclusive videos and live streaming on at any one time?
On top of the public live stream, you will be able to watch GRRC exclusive live streams simultaneously on two devices using the same login details. If you attempt to login using a third device, your first session will be times out.
Can I come to Goodwood events?
Yes. Fellows will be able to buy tickets for the Festival of Speed and Revival ahead of them going on public sale. However, the benefits that GRRC Members enjoy at these events (such as forward parking, for instance, and access to the paddocks at the Revival) will still be preserved for Members.
Being a part of the Goodwood Road Racing Club is the only way to have guaranteed access to the Members’ Meeting and Fellows can benefit from an early-bird discount if you purchase your tickets before 31 December. Thereafter, tickets will be available at the normal rate.
