One of the reasons we love coming to see our good friends at Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) is the sheer variety of racing vehicles they manage to pull together for their big events. So we knew to expect a brilliant mix of GTs and sportscars, the odd touring car, NASCARs and even single seaters when we arrived at Road Atlanta on Thursday.

We're at Road Atlanta to take in the 40th running of The Mitty – an annual festival of historic motorsport organised by HSR at the circuit perhaps most famous for the now iconic Petit Le Mans race, which has become the traditional swansong to the American sportscar racing season.
Qualifying action gets underway today, and we'll be bringing you all the action we can cram onto our website and social media feeds (look out for a few Facebook live streams from trackside later), but to begin with here is a selection of images from yesterday's warm-up test day.
It is a small snapshot of three of the classes that were out for some final fine-tuning, and includes Indy Lights single-seaters, Lola T70s, NASCAR, modern GTs and more. It shows just how incredible the mix of cars we'll bring you this weekend will be.
