We were delighted to showcase the launch of a 29th Goodwood Racehorse Owners’ Group (GROG) ownership syndicate at Goodwood House before Christmas.
The historic Goodwood Racehorse Owners’ Group (GROG) has announced the launch of a 29th ownership syndicate as the familiar red and yellow silks look forward to another stellar year on British racecourses.
With prize money distributed each year to members since its inception, this is a unique opportunity to gain exceptional access to the sport of horseracing, whether new to racing or a die-hard enthusiast.
Members of GROG can enjoy many benefits, such as; breakfast on the gallops, an exclusive facility at Goodwood Racecourse during racing, complimentary social events across the season, exclusive newsletters, and regular updates. A much-anticipated trip to Oman and San Sebastian will top a truly fascinating money-can’t-buy experience.
Following the success of horses such as Goodwood Mirage and Goodwood Zodiac, the shared ownership group currently features a two-year-old named Goodwood Vision, who following her debut in July at Ascot, looked promising at Goodwood on her most recent start finishing 3rd over six furlongs.
The latest recruit, purchased at the October yearling sales at Tattersalls is a gorgeous colt by Ulysses out of Tropicana Bay, who herself is a dam of two winners. He’s an easy-moving, athletic individual who really catches the eye and will shortly be joining the powerful stable of trainer David Menuisier. A patient perfectionist, David’s ascent through the training ranks has caught the eye of many, and his operation at Coombelands Stables near Pulborough is a sight to behold.
For those that wish to sign up and haven’t yet done so, membership costs £1,500 and lasts for two years, covering the 2023 and 2024 flat race season.
