An unprecedent wealth of historic military vehicles headed on-track on Sunday afternoon, led on to the Circuit by a full marching column. The Victory Parade commemorated the 75th anniversary of the London Victory Parade that took place on 8th June 1946. That, and served as a fitting tribute to the UK’s national fight against Covid-19. This poignant moment featured cadets, armed forces bands, and representatives of the police fire service and the NHS; frontline responders and stars all.
Around 150 vehicles ventured onto the Circuit, spanning everything from a 1929 Dennis fire engine to a Scammell Pioneer SV2S Heavy Vehicle (complete with 5.5in Howitzer Field Gun…), a Matchless 3GL motorcycle and a Daimler Dingo Armoured Car. And that’s before you factor in the Sherman tanks and Autocar half-tracks, some ferrying those who service has made such a difference to so many over the past 18 months.
The Duke of Richmond gave a powerful address, celebrating and commemorating the heroes of the World War 2, before doing the same of more recent heroes, thanking them for their selfless service for the greater good.

The Goodwood Revival is the world’s greatest historic motor race meeting, and the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely in a period theme.
