Rally cars fly the friendly skies on Goodwood’s Forest Stage

For Immediate Release: Saturday July 01 2017

The ever-popular Goodwood Festival of Speed Forest Rally Stage has witnessed plenty of sideways action this weekend. More cars have taken to the challenging course than ever before, with entries ranging from Bob Beales’ much-campaigning 1958 Volkswagen Beetle to Karl Makela’s extraordinary Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4, via fire-breathing 1980s Group B weaponry. Plenty of cars have been catching air over the bumps, with star drivers including Rauno Aaltonen, Bron Burrell and Jeff Williamson. Undoubted fan favourite, however, is the Armed Forces Rally Team which is pummelling the Forrest Stage in a specially-adapted turbodiesel Land Rover.
