Festival of Speed | Press Article 24/06/16

Some of the world’s most desirable road cars took to the Hill this afternoon to round out the opening day’s action at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed. An unrivalled line-up of high-performance exotica participated in the Michelin Supercar Run which further cements the Festival’s role as the unofficial British Motor Show.

Today saw the new, quad-turbocharged Bugatti Chiron wow the crowds. Rather more low-key, but perhaps as intriguing, was the arrival of a brand new Bristol sports car at Goodwood. It appeared on the Hill wearing ‘camouflage’ ahead of its big reveal later in the year. The Michelin Supercar Run was complemented by the new-for-2016 Race Cars for The Road class which saw the likes of the BAC Mono and Lotus 3-11 attack the course. Expect more noise and drama tomorrow…
