‘Get Revival Ready’
The world famous Goodwood Revival is fast approaching. On 9th – 11th September 2016 a spectacular 3-day event which takes place at the Goodwood Motor Circuit, the spiritual home of British motor racing will showcase the romance and glamour of the sport from the heyday.
Revival entails flat out wheel to wheel racing around Goodwood’s classic circuit and is the only historic motor racing affair to be staged entirely in period dress.
The outfits at the festival are just as important as the motor racing itself, year on year the race fans soak up the unique atmosphere in even more fabulously authentic attires - the stakes are high for the best dressed!
With Revival looming, so is that pressing question…What are you going to wear? Whether it’s the glamour of the naughty 40’s, the fabulous 50’s or the swinging 60’s. To get you ‘Revival Ready’ Goodwood is hosting a Vintage Market and Dance at the member’s club, The Kennels on Saturday 13th August 2016.
There will be a number of stalls selling all manner of vintage items to ensure you have the perfect outfit ahead of the event itself.
To complete your look there will also be hairdressers and make-up artists on hand to teach you how to recreate authentic hair styles in one of three, hour and a half classes.
In the evening The Kennels takes on a completely different atmosphere for The Vintage Dance. It’s the perfect place to gather with friends and family dressed in all your finest vintage clothing.
On your arrival you will be greeted with a classic punch cocktail before spending the evening dancing the night away to live music from female vocal trio, The Velvettes. With a passion for reviving songs from the 1920’s to the 1960’s they are sure to get toes tapping and fingers snapping.
