Armchair Q & A - Virtual Talk Series
Behind the scenes at Goodwood
The club is delighted to continue this successful series of online interviews.
Allowing you behind-the-scenes access from your homes, these talks will focus on life at Goodwood and will provide an insight into the history, culture, logistics and delivery of the headline events, brought to you by key players and friends of Goodwood.
In our next talk, we're delighted that Michael 'Herbie' Blash will be discussing his fascinating career that began at RRC Walker Racing in the 60s. Herbie moved to Lotus in 1968 to work with Graham Hill, leaving several years later to be employed by Frank Williams in his Politoys team. By 1973, he was the team manager of the Brabham Formula One team working alongside Bernie Ecclestone and Gordon Murray until 1988. From late 1995 until the end of 2016, Blash was the FIA Deputy Race Director at Formula One Grand Prix races. He stepped down in 2016, but following the dismissal of Michael Masi, he returned to F1 at the start of the 2022 season as the Permanent Senior Advisor to the FIA Race Directors.
An on-demand video of the talk will be published here for viewing by the GRRC community later in the year.
