MAY 01st 2016
Enjoy National Golf Month with Golf At Goodwood
There will be something for all levels of ability, from taster sessions for beginners to coaching for those looking to progress and reduced green fees to kick-start your game, whatever level you play at.
For those completely new to the game, Golf At Goodwood is offering complimentary 60-minute golf lessons for the whole of May with the team of highly-qualified PGA Professionals. There is no dress code and equipment is provided.
For only £20, golfers can enjoy 18-holes of golf on the championship Park Course, a driving-range token for the Golf At Goodwood Academy plus an array of exciting competitions from 23-29 May.
For the more advanced golfer, the Academy Team will also be offering Driver testing sessions, using the state-of-the-art Trackman 4 technology, free of charge. Trackman 4 helps optimise your swing and ensures your club is matched to your game. National Golf Month at Goodwood is the ideal chance to utilise Trackman 4 to hone your game on the range and take those learnings onto the course.
Stuart Gillett, Golf At Goodwood General Manager, commented: “National Golf Month is always a special month here at Goodwood. Although we already offer low cost, fun and accessible routes into the sport all year round, this national initiative – which this year is supported by Sky Sports – provides the platform to really showcase what we have to offer at Goodwood.
“We are always looking for ways of promoting our golf offering to the local community and this is a fantastic opportunity for people to enjoy golf a more affordable price. There is the perception amongst some people that only Members can play at Goodwood which isn’t the case – the Park Course is open to golfers of all abilities all year round and we look forward to welcoming them in May.”
Designed by renowned golf architect and player Donald Steel, the Park Course winds effortlessly around the beautiful 18th Century parkland surrounding Goodwood House and features picturesque open fairways. An ideal introductory course but with tricky dogleg lines to catch out even the most experienced player, the Park Course is one of the most inviting golf courses in West Sussex. This Pay & Play course captures golf as it should be - open to all.
