Cleaning procedures
- The hotel has been thoroughly cleaned by a specialist cleaning company who use electro-static disinfectant to deep clean every single corner.
- We have significantly increased our cleaning regimes and hospital-grade disinfectant is now being used in all public areas. High traffic public areas will be cleaned hourly.
- Cleaning of bedrooms after check out will be even more rigorous than usual, with a focus on the cleanliness of high-touch items such as chairs, desks, handles, switches and remotes.
Check In / Out
Check in times will be staggered and pre check-in information requested to speed up arrival. The hotel will only accept credit and debit cards (no cash transactions) and receipts will be emailed to enable paperless checkout. Luggage will be handled by our staff only on request.
Safety for our guests
- Social distancing rules will be adhered to throughout the hotel with appropriate signage and hotel operating procedures have been adapted to ensure compliance. There will be a one-way system operating to minimise close contact with staff and other guests.
- Hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes will be readily available throughout the hotel.
- Face masks will be worn by all staff and are available for hotel guests. Please wear a face covering in communal areas around the Hotel. These can be removed when dining or when inside your room.
- Bedrooms will not be entered or accessed during your stay by hotel staff unless requested. Non-essential bedroom items such as magazines and guest information booklets will be removed. Additional towels and toiletries will be available on request.
- Air conditioning will not be in use throughout the hotel and rooms in line with Government guidelines
- Our suppliers have all been contacted to ascertain their compliance to our high standards of operating.
- All staff have received training on all of these policies.
Dining during your stay
Restaurants and bars will follow social distancing guidelines and our outdoor spaces will be used when appropriate. We will operate table service only.
Our Room service menu has been updated with a greater choice of meals available.

The bar will be open from 11am - 11pm daily and does not require pre-booking.

Leisure facilities
The Health Club will be open for hotel guests to use from 25th July, with some additional safety measures in place:
- All Health Club sessions must be booked on arrival at the front desk (subject to availability) to allow for social distancing capacity
- Under 16s are not permitted in the Pool or Gym at this time but tennis courts are available for family use
- We ask that you please use towels and water provided in your rooms (these won’t be available at the Health Club)
- Changing rooms are only accessible for pool use and the showers will not be in use, we encourage guests to use their rooms for changing

The Waterbeach spa will remain closed until further notice.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand in some circumstances arrangements need to be changed and reservations need to be cancelled or amended. You have up until 24 hours prior to the day of arrival to do so without charge; amendments or cancellations made after this time will be charged at the rate of the first night’s stay.
Do you have a car park?
We have plenty of complimentary parking.
Do you have disabled access?
Goodwood always welcomes visitors and guests with disabilities. We have ground floor bedrooms and restaurants which are accessible for wheelchair users.
Do you have wi-fi?
Complimentary wi-fi is available throughout The Goodwood Hotel.
What facilities do you have for children?
We are a family friendly hotel therefore children are very welcome.
- Our Garden rooms have interconnecting doors - perfect for families or, alternatively, we are able to provide cots.
- Children's menu is available in The Goodwood Bar & Grill and Farmer, Butcher, Chef
- Room service can cater for baby-led weaning 24 hours per day.
- Children are welcome to use the tennis courts (pre-bookable through the front desk)
- We have a whole host of activities to keep children entertained - particularly during the school holidays - from junior golf camps to woodland adventures.
Are dogs allowed at The Goodwood Hotel?
The Goodwood Hotel has eleven dog-friendly rooms that welcome guests with dogs aged one and above. Your four legged companion will be provided with a bed, bowls, bags & treats to make his or her visit to Goodwood as much of a special occasion as yours.
Our dog-friendly rooms are all on the ground floor of our hotel, and either have access onto an inner courtyard or are near an exit.
Dogs are welcome to wander everywhere in the hotel except the Goodwood Bar & Grill, Leisure Club, Waterbeach and function rooms.
There are plenty of great walking routes in the vicinity and designated areas in the hotel grounds where dogs may explore. Please ask our Hotel staff for details of these.
As a hotel resident, you and your canine companion also have access to The Kennels, our stylish and friendly private members' club, where dogs are most welcome.
There is a charge of £30 per dog, per stay, on top of your room rate.
Please note that these rooms are subject to availability and limited to only eleven, so these are sold on a first come basis.
These rates are not applicable over our Headline Events and Hotel Packages such as Christmas & New Year when event specific rates will apply. Please ensure that you mention that you will be bringing a dog when you book your room, so that we can make the necessary preparations.
What is there to keep us entertained at the Hotel?
A lot!
Included in your stay are complimentary use of our leisure facilities for the duration of your stay including the gym, fitness studio, tennis courts, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. We also offer a comprehensive range of relaxing therapies and beauty treatments in the Waterbeach and would be happy to forward more details should you require them. We strongly recommend that you book treatments prior to arrival to avoid disappointment as they are very popular. As a little thank you, if you book in advance we will give you a 10% discount on all treatments.
Aside from this, there is a whole host of activities and experiences to make your stay a memorable one:

Where can I dine?
We highly recommend you dine with us to sample the amazing organic Goodwood Home Farm produce featured on the menus at each of our restaurants.
We have a choice of three restaurants for overnight guests and recommend that you reserve a table prior to your arrival.
Farmer, Butcher, Chef restaurant, set in the original archway of the 18th century building, an intimate restaurant serving the finest Estate and locally sourced seasonal produce in elegantly crafted dishes bursting with flavour.
Whilst The Goodwood Bar & Grill with a wide variety of light bites, salads and hearty dishes in a lively, relaxed atmosphere.
Overnight guests can also enjoy honorary membership to The Kennels for the duration of their stay. This exclusive clubhouse offers the very best of Estate ingredients and is perfect for a special occasion.
