You don't stop playing because you age, you age because you stop playing.

Age is no limit
As we age our bodies grow and develop, giving some the feeling that they need to slow down or take it easier. This is all well and good however in order to steady the ageing process it is important to stay active and healthy. There is no need to ever stop exercising due to your age. Exercise keeps you healthy, both physically and mentally, as well as helping to maintain your social life. So keep moving and have fun with exercise!
As mentioned in 'The importance of balance' it is vital to maintain your core stability in order to stay independent. All exercise requires balance, whether that is playing golf, tennis or enjoying a yoga class. Those that live a more sedentary lifestyle pay the price, with an increased risk of heart disease, falls and obesity.
You are never too old to start exercising and it is actually said that the biggest benefits come from those who start from scratch. The more you do, the greater the benefits. 75 minutes per week of vigorous exercise is the equivalent of 150 minutes of moderate exercise, so why not up the anti and try something new this summer?
Anything that raises your heart beat counts towards vigorous exercise, for example weight training, heavy gardening or playing tennis. Moderate exercise are things such as fast walking, flat cycle rides or pushing a lawn mower. Ideally you want to be doing something physical every day, even if it is only for 10 minutes, but avoid sitting for long periods, get up and get active!
