Exercising in Summer...
Do you need a hat on when running in summer?
Our body needs to get rid of heat and a hat prevents some of the heat escaping. If you really need a peak to shade your eyes, wear a visor instead!
Choosing the correct running shoes.
It is advised that you buy running shoes half a size bigger than your regular shoes. This is due to the fact that, as your feet heat up during exercise, they will swell and need space to expand into. Therefore, when buying trainers ensure they are slightly bigger than your feet, if not try going up half a size.
The right gym clothing.
Just because clothes look good in the gym it doesn't mean that they are right. Make sure any gym clothes you purchase let you have a full range of movement, let your skin breathe and helps keep the sweat away from your body.
If you are unsure if what you are wearing at the gym is right for the hotter weather, speak to a Member of the team who will be more than happy to help.
