We are reviewing 3 wearable technology pieces that offer a bit of an alternative to the regular Garmin and Fitbit – it seems a screen is becoming a thing of the past.

 

  1. WHOOP is the most advanced fitness and health wearable technology that is currently available, and is being increasingly supported by athletes and trainers. The chip (worn as a bracelet) monitors your recovery, sleep, training, and health, with personalised recommendations and coaching feedback. The more you wear the WHOOP, the better the feedback you will receive. So much so that they have devised a ‘charge on the go’ solution so the data recording is constant.

    A great little touch is the ‘Wakeup call’. The data sets a haptic alarm that gently vibrates to wake you at the optimal time based on your sleep needs and cycles.

 

  1. IVY - Ivy is a health tracker designed and engineered for women, which correlates menstrual cycle data, lifestyle habits and biometric readings. It syncs with the Bellabeat App; it reveals a comprehensive and accurate state of body and mind. Through feedback it identifies self-care gaps, and suggests improvements for your lifestyle.

    Ivy also has the option for Bellabeat Wellness - this is great to advise you on where to improve your 360 wellness.

 

  1. Movtiv - For a tiny ring, this packs a lot of punch! With its subtle design, comprehensive fitness tracking, and app integration features, Motiv Ring delivers even more convenience and information to you 24/7 and fully connects with Apple Health or Google Fit to seamlessly to save your data. Whilst the reading is a little more mainstream, this is the smallest, easiest solution to fitness tracking and because of its size it charges within 90mins - easy!
