Four ways to simplify your wedding planning
Wedding planning can be stressful and time-consuming. We know there is a lot to think about and plan for. However, there are some easy methods to simplify your wedding planning during this lockdown period.
1. Make planning fun
Rather than sitting at home every night doing the odd bits here and there, set aside dedicated wedding time. Plan a meal in with your fiancé (at your venue if can and the lockdown restrictions have been lifted) and make an action plan of what needs to be organised. Setting dedicate time will make it feel more special and exciting.
2. Get creative!
Use the lockdown period to get creative. Why not keep in touch with your bridesmaids via video chat with ‘Zoom Cocktails’ on evening? Use the lockdown to plan out guest lists and create mood boards. You should be able to find some inspiration with our virtual tours of our wedding venues on the Goodwood Estate here.
3. Pick a wedding menu that you’ll enjoy
The wedding menu should be a delight, filled with all your favourite things. Personalise it if you wish. Is there a favourite dessert that you always have or a starter that reminds you of an amazing holiday? Try not to get to caught up on other people’s tastes and preferences and focus on what you would like to eat on the day.
4. DIY - don’t spend out on hair and makeup if you’re happy to do it yourself
Some people are naturally good at doing their own hair and makeup. If you are, then you perhaps don’t have to spend on someone doing it for you. If you’re confident enough to do it yourself (without getting too stressed on the day), then avoid booking a hair and makeup artist.
We hope these easy to adopt methods will help make your wedding planning as stress-free as possible.
