[Video] Five mighty touring car scraps at Goodwood | GRR
Do you like touring cars? Because we really, really love touring cars. Modern BTCC cars are driven hard (every round of the 2020 BTCC season has thrown up some sort of drama), and historic touring machines at Goodwood they are driven just as ferociously.
The result has been some highly entertaining scraps, five of which we’ve put together here, where Austin A40s launch themselves over kerbs in pursuit of those in front, where V8 grunt triumphs down the straights but lesser-cylindered machines sweep past in the corners. And where Minis are driven at full throttle pretty much everywhere lap after lap after lap.
We say again: we really like touring cars, which is why we’re besides ourselves to see not one, not two, not three but four touring cars races at SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard. Be still, my beating heart.
