[Video] Ninety-year-old cars fight like they’re brand new | GRR
As we see so often at the Revival, just because a car is old does not mean that it cannot be driven with gusto. ‘Gusto’ seems like a particularly appropriate word, too, as the cars engaging in combat here are almost as old as Her Majesty the Queen.
The race is the wonderful Brooklands Trophy, in fact only the second ever Brooklands Trophy in 2005, and the cars a 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B Monoposto of Thomas Bscher and a 1934 Riley Dixon Special of Duncan Ricketts. Ricketts was on a charge at the end of the race, setting fastest lap after fastest lap, and in the end it was all down to Bscher to keep Ricketts behind. Who came out on top?
