We like Emanuele Pirro. In the paddock he says hello, smiles and makes cheeky jokes, often at fellow Members’ Meeting House Captain Anthony Reid’s expense. And then when he gets in a racing car he seems to reduce his bodyweight to that of an ant and find the kind of speed that would lead you to believe his car is actually being propelled by a Saturn 5.
Here, at the wheel of a 3.0-litre Ford Capri S, he pushes his way past a Faberge Camaro and another Capri like they weren’t really trying. Of course they were, but Pirro just goes about doing what he does best, making racing look just so effortless.
