Five F1 teams confirmed for 2022 Festival of Speed | GRR
Are you an F1 fan? If so, you’ll want to be at the 2022 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, as we’re delighted to be able to confirm that five Formula 1 teams will be in action on the Hill.
Among those joining us for the 29th Festival are the McLaren F1 Team, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team, Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Team and Williams Racing, all of which will be lined up in the F1 Pit Lane presented by Sky. As for drivers? Well, we can’t tell you just yet, but rest assured some of your favourite current F1 heroes will be in attendance.
As if current F1 teams coming to the Festival wasn’t good enough news already, there’s more: if you buy tickets before the end of Thursday 31st March, the Festival qualifies for the UK Government’s ‘creative industry tax relief’, meaning a reduced VAT rate to 12.5 per cent, a saving which is being passed on to customers.
Speaking of the F1 team news, the Duke of Richmond said: “The incredible spectacle of Formula 1 has long been a central part of what makes the Festival of Speed so unmissable, and it has been a privilege to see so many different cars and drivers at the event since teams first attended in 1994.
We’re proud that in a year where we will be spotlighting innovation in motorsport we can create a place for fans to examine the developments throughout the different eras of Formula 1 that brought us to this point. We can’t wait to welcome the teams to Goodwood this summer and are looking forward to the incredible sights and sounds of legendary Formula 1 machines and drivers taking to the hillclimb once again.”
