[Video] Ferrari Le Mans Hypercar spotted testing again | GRR

Ferrari’s return to the top level of sportscar racing is one of the most exciting parts of the build up to the centenary Le Mans 24 Hours, and we’ve been seeing small drips of the car revealed by Ferrari over the past few months. But this is the first time we at GRR have seen two in open testing and for so long.

The car is still in its camo testing livery, the dazzleflash that is specifically designed to stop us being able to make out its proper shape. But we can still make out the signature full-width rear light, the raked rear wing and the very Ferrari headlights at the front.

Most importantly we can hear the new LMH car’s hybrid V8 in action as it attacks Monza, alongside a mystery supercar (see 3:16). It’s a slightly muted sound, similar to that of the current 488 GTE, but we’re happy to report numerous pops and crackles as it enters and attacks the Ascari chicane. It also looks phenomenally fast through that high-speed section, which bodes well for when it goes up against Toyota’s GR010, Glickenhaus’s SGG007 and the Peugeot 9X8 next year.
