After our enforced sabbatical in 2020, it was no wonder entrants and competitors were stomping out the runs come the opening day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. It quickly became evident that man and machine alike had missed testing their reflexes, traction and bravery up the famous Goodwood Hill. The commitment and eagerness on show within some of the very first timed runs was clearly infectious as the pace started to ramp up.
In this video, we’ve had the not too difficult task of collecting some of the best runs we witnessed yesterday into a 12-minute edit of ear-splitting ecstasy that includes supercars, James Deane going crazy in the E92 BMW M3, and even the Goodwood legend that is Duncan Pittaway in his absolutely bonkers V8 Cheetah.
