[Video] Travis Pastrana attacks Goodwood in 800PS Gymkhana Impreza | GRR
In the pantheon of mad machines making noise on the Hill at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard this year, Travis Pastrana’s Gymkhana Impreza has got to be up there. A healthy 800PS (588kW) (when it’s not smashing the limiter blowing flames out the bonnet-exit exhaust), box arches to make a Porsche 935 blush and active aero aren’t exactly dealer-fitment.
Yes, we did say active aero. Note in this monster run it waggling around as Pastrana gets on the brakes, twitching down into Molecomb. Unlike so many of these sorts of builds, this is no demo car. The run is so quick it feels like it’s on fast-forward. Anyone that wants to bring something like this up the Hill and spit in the face of the laws of physics gets a big thumbs up from us.
