The original Festival of Britain Trophy was held here 70 years ago and only at the Goodwood Revival would you see five of the original racing cars lining up on the grid again.
These are cars from the pre-Formula 1 era of Grand Prix racing, mainly dating from before World War 2 and with names we now associate with a different age of racing; ERA, Bugatti, Frazer Nash. However that doesn’t mean that the racing is any less exciting in these compact, front-engined single seaters. There is plenty of wheel-to-wheel racing and even a bit of off-roading during the course of the race.
