Gallery: St Mary's Trophy Part 1 | GRR
The St Mary's Trophy is always a hugely popular fixture at Revival, so it was only natural that it would take its place on the Speedweek presented by Mastercard programme.
There's a distinctly Europe versus America flavour to the grid. From this side of the pond, there's the diminutive Mini (with two estates adding some variety), a host of Lotus Cortinas, a BMW 1800 TiSA and a trio of Alfa Romeos.
From the States, there's sizeable Studebaker Lark, itself dwarfed by the Ford Galaxie (of which there are two), a Dodge Dart and a Plymouth Barracuda.
The big American cars had the power for the straights, where the Europeans were more deft through the corners. It's a conflict that always makes for plenty of close racing.
