Before engines started and the action got under way, our photographers were out in the paddocks to capture these fantastic images of race cars at rest.
As the sun rose over the paddocks, before the Motor Circuit's gates were opened, a few early-rising mechanics and drivers could be seen near their cars – tea in hand – preparing for the day ahead. Enjoy a snoop around the shelters with us during the calm before the storm.
