Trying to put together a list of the greatest car designers of all time would no doubt result in one hell of an argument in the GRR office. But there is one name that would definitely sit on every possible version: Gordon Murray.
Few designers have created such incredible machines, and even fewer have managed it in both the road car and motorsport fields. The number who have then gone on to create successful companies of their own is even smaller.
But Gordon Murray has done all of that. Creating some of the finest F1 cars of all time and then designing road cars so good they could jump onto the track with little change and dominate.
