2024 F1 Academy standings | GRR
We came away from an incident-filled first round of the 2024 F1 Academy season in Saudi Arabia with a handful of conclusions. Chief among them is that Doriane Pin, aside from a moment of madness, has positioned herself firmly as the driver to beat. Yet because of her 20-second penalty for taking the chequered flag twice for race two in Jeddah, she comes away from a near-perfect weekend only third in the drivers’ standings.
Abbi Pulling’s searing consistency, together with a solid but generally unspectacular showing from Ferrari’s Maya Weug means they both move ahead of Pin after two races, but there is plenty of time for the Mercedes representative to claw back the deficit.
Thirteen of the 16 drivers scored points in Jeddah, proving there is plenty of quality all the way through the field, only Lia Block, Emely de Heus and wildcard Reema Juffali failed to finish in the top ten. Block in particular suffered a frustrating weekend and will be looking to bounce back when F1 Academy returns in Miami.
