[Video] Frenetic shifter karts get air on insane race track | GRR
We knew shifter karts were mad, but take a look at this for just a minute. The absolute rollercoaster that is Atlanta Motorsports Park, where the drivers are literally getting air as they fly around this chaotic race track.
We also happen to be riding onboard with a driver embroiled in a hectic battle for the lead, which culminates in a spectacular overtaking attempt as we absolutely send it down the inside and just about manage to cling on.
We mean that quite literally, because this is nuts. The elevation changes, particularly the cliff edge drop down from the first corner look as though they would fling you from your seat. The kerbs look brutal, too, this must be some workout.
If you’re a fan of karting, this surely must be the holy grail experience. Weaving through a ribbon of tarmac that has been embedded into a rural American landscape at speeds that must be nearing 100mph.
And once again, in case you missed it… they’re getting air in flippin’ go karts!
