A cheeky on board Nürburgring lap is just prime Elevenses material, isn’t it? Because besides hammering round the Goodwood Motor Circuit in a historic racer, there are few places we’d rather be in our mid-morning daydreams.
What’s nice about this one is it’s more village to gantry than bridge to gantry, as this Silvia makes its way through the local area before hitting the ‘Ring. Of course, the actual on-track action is pretty spectacular. As is often the case, it’s a greasy surface the famously slidey Silvia has to contend with, so things get dicey more than once. The driver wrestles with the wheel managing the momentum of the car, sometimes delicately, sometimes aggressively. This is a proper on-edge lap, albeit with some correct decorum and measured pace when it came to traffic. Nürburgring done right!
