The Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy might be the most beautiful and certainly one of the best-sounding races we feature at the Goodwood Revival. Racing cars don’t get much prettier or better-sounding than Ferrari 250 SWBs, Jaguar E-types, Aston Martin DB4 GTs and Chevrolet Corvettes.
Beautiful as they are though, that’s nothing to stop the owners and racers pushing them to their limits around the Goodwood Motor Circuit. The Hugenholtz number 14 250 SWB got away from the line in a flash, though gradually fell back throughout the race. Contrast to the Harts in their 250 SWB, who pushed up from the second row to contest for the win. It was however no match for the Dragonsnake Cobra of Mike Whitaker and Andrew Jordan.
