Historic sportscar racing, at Goodwood Motor Circuit, while the sun sets. Need we say more? Not sold? Let’s just reel off a handful of cars you can expect to see on the absolute limit. The metallic pink Dragonsnake AC Cobra, a Jaguar E-type, a Ferrari 250 GT SWB make up the front row, with more of the same following behind. It’s quite simply one of the most beautiful grids you will ever see, and they engaged in a quite incredible hour-long battle on Saturday evening of the 2022 Goodwood Revival.
You don’t need us to tell you that this one is worth boiling the kettle for, with hard-fought racing throughout this two-driver event, and a list of names that includes the likes of Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, Jenson Button, Karun Chandhok, and Emanuele Pirro.
It’s a race that, regardless of the on-track action, gets better the longer it goes on, as the sun begins to set, and the silhouettes of these gorgeous cars pop against the fading light. The battle for the win remains close throughout, too, but we’ll let you watch on for the final result.
