Mega Goodwood Speed Weekend headlines trio of new GRRC Replay streams | GRR
Thank you for joining us in your thousands for the first three days of our GRRC Replay series of lockdown streams. We are going to continue bringing you some entertainment during this Covid-19-caused period of no live motorsport with three streams coming up in April and May 2020; that’s five full days of awesome action from all three of Goodwood’s headline events.
First up, completing our April series of streams which began on Easter Monday, will be a chance to relive the whole of the Sunday of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard in 2015. Why have we chosen that day? Well apart from the usual array of F1, touring cars, pre-war monsters including the debut of the Beast of Turin, sportscars and more, this was also the day that Valentino Rossi made his FOS debut. Not only riding his Yamaha MotoGP bike, but also jumping in a series of legendary racing cars for a quick blast up the Hill.
Two weeks after that we’ll begin May with a real treat. First off we will be live on VE Day with content celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of war in Europe and racing representative of the immediate pre- and post-war periods. Then, over the bank holiday weekend, we’ll have two more days of action as we introduce the first ever Goodwood Speed Weekend. The action over the two days of Speed Weekend streaming will be made up of content from all three Goodwood motorsport events – Members’ Meeting, Festival of Speed and Revival.
Finally, in May, we will return to Goodwood’s resumed Members’ Meetings by streaming the entirety of Sunday’s action from the 72nd Members’ Meeting. Including demonstrations from F1, Group C and Group B and racing from sportscars, touring cars and more.
We will announce full details of the VE Day and Speed Weekend streams closer to the event, as well as timetables for the 2015 Festival of Speed and 72MM streams. All the streams, like all those so far in the GRRC Replay series, will be free to view to all, with each event streaming in full on GRR.
After each stream is over they will be made available to re-watch in full to members of the GRRC Community.
