[Video] Classic DTM cars absolutely tearing round the Nürburgring | GRR
Oldtimer GP might be one of best names for a classic motorsport event, a close second perhaps behind the Goodwood Revival, we reckon, but it also brought together some pretty exciting touring car grids to battle around the Nürburgring GP circuit in the DTM Classic Cup.
It’s difficult to ask for more when you’re faced with Ford Sierra RS500s going wheel to wheel with BMW E30 M3s and Mercedes 190Es among many other favourites from the Group A and supertouring era of German touring car racing – there’s even a Volvo 850! It’s raucous symphony of howling straight-six engines and roaring V8s, and we love it.
The engine noise might not even be the best bit, though, because there is some truly spectacular turbo flutter scattered throughout this video, which makes it all the more watchable. What a way to break up your Wednesday.
