Not every racing car gets to be great, some are just also rans that fill the grid, never to taste victory or in some cases, never to even score points.
But then there are some that don't even get to stand on a starting grid. They never get to qualify or even practice. They go through the full development process and then see their promising career just disappear.
This has happened a lot more than you might think through the history of motorsport, and in every single form of racing there is. From F1 to sportscars, rallying to touring cars.
Some of them are a bit weird, but some are beautiful or brutal, in such a way that we are left just wondering what might have been, wishing the teams or manufacturers had actually given them a chance to race.
