We rather like old racing Mustangs. We rather like Road Atlanta too. And as luck would have it, today we have an onboard video that features both. What a time to be alive.
This is the 2018 Classic Motorsports Mitty hosted by Historic Sportscar Racing, and you’re riding onboard the Shelby Mustang GT350 of Curt Voght in the Group 5 Saturday race.
Qualifying in 10th position, Curt made it up to sixth position by the chequered flag, a fine achievement. But, wherever he’d finished, we would have enjoyed the onboard all the same, because would you just listen to it. There are a few short-shifts here and there, but when he really opens up that big V8 the sound is ear-splitting. The downshifts at the end of the back straight are pretty tasty too.
