What if Open Kadett but with a race-spec BMW straight-six with a rev limit of 11,000rpm? That’s what we have to ask today. Frankly, we don’t think you have a reason as to why not. This absolutely mad hillclimb racer you’re seeing in this video is not some kind of heat-induced delusion. It’s real.
Quite how much actual Kadett is left, we are not so sure of. Sprouting outwards from that once humble shape are arches that could match a Zakspeed Capri, a comically large wing and diffuser and a face that can only be described as suffering with a Hillclimb gurn. We approve in the strongest possible terms.
