There are some realities about broadcasting events that perhaps get lost in the madness of viewing clips in this social media age. In order to look absolutely right on broadcast, it requires a lot of kit and that requires heavy logistics. That’s why, often, a fan with a camera trackside can capture the raw sound of motorsport in a way the official channels cannot.
This is one of those examples, four minutes of the sights and sounds of the 75th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport.
It’s a glorious mixture of paddock atmosphere and on track action, featuring cars as wide ranging as the pre-war “specials” of the S.F. Edge Trophy, to incredible GT1 racing cars from the 1990s.
