But you better believe that it makes a worthy ‘Ring racer, as is proven in this brilliant trackside short from YouTuber Statesidesupercars.
Watch as a young driver hustles the stripped-out Citroën AX 10e diesel around the 20km Nordschleife, fearlessly sliding it through bends, the inside suspension compressing heavily as the outer wheels threaten to lift off.
Joined by the likes of Mustangs and Porsches during the open track session, the skinny-tyred Citroën cuts the racing line around the Green Hell, proving that sometimes less is more when it comes to sheer driving fun.
