Year after year the team over in Gothenburg churn out excellent adverts, metaphorically selling their trucks to even those of us who have absolutely no use for them… Their latest video is no exception.
In order to advertise the 38-tonne load capacity of the manufacturer’s new ‘bogie’ – the platform behind the cab that supports a semi-trailer, not the things you’ll see hanging from the nose of a toddler – the marketing team decided to stack the FMX, FH, FH16 and the FM atop one another. It makes perfect sense!
Called ‘The Tower’, the 80-second video sees the truck stack accelerate into the stormy darkness with Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, stood on top – a resplendent tank commander, the cherry on top of the Volvo cake. We love you Volvo Trucks. Never change your crazy marketing strategy.
